My name is Dan Cheal, President of Dream Big Innovations.
Like most children, my two year old daughter, Maddy, loves to eat out at restaurants. One day, we went for a walk to one of her favorites. I grabbed the first high chair I saw, secured Maddy in, and then attached the tray. It took about 2 seconds to see there was a problem; the tray wasn't completely clean. Naturally, my concern was about all the potential bacteria and germs around, especially since Maddy loved to sprawl her food across the tray. This wasn't the first time I felt like this after placing my daughter in a restaurant high chair, but this day, it really made me think. Instead of complaining or turning a blind eye, I wanted to create a solution.
After hours and hours of research, input from managers of some of the largest fast food restaurant chains today, and many ideas from concerned parents and grandparents, the Tidy Trays™ concept was born - a reusable "slipcover" for high chair trays, that was safe and easy to use.
With all we know today about infectious diseases and harmful bacteria, and most recently the H1N1 virus; we want to take every precaution to ensure the safety of our children - that is why I am proud to present Tidy Trays™ to parents everywhere! It is a machine washable, BPA, lead, and phthalate free, high chair tray cover that has been laboratory tested for safety, and restaurant tested for ease of use and functionality.
It easily folds into a pouch, and can be carried in your diaper bag. And we are proud to say that it is made in Canada.
